HAVE STAYED HERE TWICE IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS. FOOD IS VERY GOOD AND BOTH ACCOMMODATION & FOOD ARE WELL PRICED. THE STAFF THOUGH ARE THE PROPERTY'S MAIN ASSET. THEY GENUINELY WANT YOU TO ENJOY YOUR STAY/VISIT. PEOPLE ARE SO GRATEFUL FOR THEIR SINCERE CARE & ATTENTION.
A lovely pub. We were staying here overnight. The rooms are nice,not huge but have everything you need and the bed was lovely. Nice double shower for when you need to freshen up. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of continental food and then you could order hot food if you wanted anything.
nice food ..fish and chips for me .. Fish was a bit small and v small musy peas...ha way only peas ...hollume skewers and flat bread was tasty 1 large wine 1 coffee £42.35

Ideal location for a night or two. We were here visiting family and this place is within walking distance. The welcome was warm at the bar where we checked in. Our room is lovely and overlooks a field and trees. Most importantly, the beds are comfortable and clean. The room smells neutral. There is a restaurant on site, as well as a pub.
Sunday roast beef was absolutely excellent such a good price & the tastiest roast I have had for a very long time
Unbelievable Sunday dinner from here! Staff fitted us in even though it was busy and lots of reserved tables. Food came within 15 mins as well. Had to come back and try their normal menu and loved the choices. Had a really nice burger and chips. Enjoyed it here a lot. Friendly, chatty staff and lush decor

Great place & quiet location, room very comfortable and clean. Food was really decent and the full English breakfast was awesome - eggs were cooked exactly as my wife requested and the staff (Lloyd in particular) were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and so helpful & friendly. We will be back for sure in 2026!
Great place to stay! We travelled to the area for a family wedding, after looking online before hand, we decided on staying here for 2 nights at the beginning of November. Due to my health conditions, I requested a room with minimal stair access, to which they fully accommodated. My husband and I were placed in the annex lodge to the back of the carpark. It was a lovely quiet and clean room, plus we could park right by the entrance. The pub itself had a warm cosy charm about it. We had breakfast included and ate in there the evening of arrival. I'm Gluten Free and they had more than enough choices for me. Although, something more than just ice cream for dessert wouldn't go a miss. It was also great to see that it was dog friendly. All the staff were pleasant, polite and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay!
